I paint landscapes, but usually they are not real views. Through my work I want to portray special, mystical places. In my childhood I spent many years at my grandparents’ home in the Transylvanian Alps and it had a very strong effect on me. The world of folktales and the everyday contact with wilderness made me see differently the beauty of the mountains and truly feel the power of nature.

Beside my memories, I let myself be influenced by new images seen in magazines or photographs. It is important what effect an image has on me. Then I start to think about how I can I transform it, through myself, into something more uncommon.
My strong connection to deep greens and dark blues reflects my love for nature and the water. The darkness of the colors provides a dramatic opening for the mysterious natural lights, and the possibility to let happen the miracle.
For me the size of the canvas determines my personal relation to the painting. The focal point in many of my works is a mountain crevice with lake in middle. In these paintings the lake represents a passage or corridor to another life form. It could be from life to death, or it could be from womb to life. My paintings often remind people of a woman, which somethimes appears to be erotic, but not on purpose. The woman in my paintings is Mother Earth.
