Caroline WALKER, UK

Caroline Walker (b. 1982, Dunfermline, Scotland) studied at the Glasgow School of Art and Royal College of Art, and now lives and works in London. Walker has previously been selected for John Moores Painting Prize, Jerwood Contemporary Painters and shortlisted for the Threadneedle Prize. Awards include the 2009 Valerie Beston Award, 2009 Neville Burston Award and a Dewar Arts Award. She has exhibited widely across the UK and abroad, including solo exhibitions in Bucharest, New York, Milan and most recently at Pitzhanger Manor, London in summer 2013.  Group exhibitions include ‘Some Domestic Incidents’ at Prague Biennale 5 and MAC, Birmingham (2011) and Nightfall: New Tendencies in Figurative Painting, at MODEM, Debrecen, Hungary (2012) and Rudolfinum, Prague (2013). Her work is held in the Franks-Suss, Saatchi, and Jimenez-Colon Collections. The artist’s first monograph 'In Every Dream Home' was published in 2013 by Anomie Publishing.
